Dog Daycare TERMS
DAY CARE TERMS
Our Commitments:
At Pethico, we are dedicated to ensuring the best care for your dog while they are with us. We promise to walk your dog twice a day and provide continuous access to clean and fresh water.
We commit to a minimum of 90 minutes of walking per day (weather permitting, we may walk longer) and maintaining a calm and restful indoor environment. Our daycare always has experienced dog care staff on-site, and we ensure clear and consistent communication between the daycare and the dog owners.
Some Important Terms:
-
The dog must be healthy and free from diseases such as mange and other parasites.
-
Vaccination certificates must be presented.
-
The dog must be insured for veterinary care.
-
The dog should be comfortable and display good behavior at daycare.
-
We welcome unneutered males, but this is subject to assessment by the operations manager.
-
Females in heat are not accepted during the entire heat period or if other dogs are affected before/after. No price reduction is given during this period.
Full Terms:
Customer Information:
-
Information provided by the customer during the application process forms the basis for the dog's admission to Pethico AB and these terms and conditions.
Dog Induction:
-
The dog's induction plan is agreed upon with Pethico AB. The typical induction period is five (5) days. During this period, the customer must be available to pick up the dog if necessary.
-
The induction cost is 350 kr per day, paid in full on the first invoice.
-
A new dog has a one (1) month trial period, during which either party can terminate the contract immediately. If Pethico AB Hunddagis terminates the contract, the customer is entitled to a refund for the remaining period.
Dog Care:
-
Pethico AB undertakes to care for the dog, provide clean and fresh water, and exercise the dog as agreed. The use of walking aids (e.g., VGW harness, head halter) is permitted.
-
Spa services (e.g., nail clipping, fur trimming, ear cleaning) must be booked separately and are billed accordingly.
Vaccination and Health:
-
Dogs must be vaccinated against parvo, distemper, hepatitis, and kennel cough (Nobivac DHP and Pi/KC). Proof of vaccination must be provided upon request.
-
Pethico AB reserves the right to refuse entry to dogs without proof of vaccination or showing signs of illness. No fee reduction is given if the dog is kept home due to illness.
-
Suspected kennel cough must be reported to Pethico AB. A 10-day home quarantine is required after the last symptom, with a possible veterinarian certificate.
-
Customers must immediately notify Pethico AB of any suspected illness to prevent the spread of disease. Necessary veterinary care will be arranged by Pethico AB at the customer's expense.
-
If the dog falls ill while at daycare, we will separate them from the other dogs, contact the owner, and the dog must be picked up as soon as possible. If a dog contracts an illness such as kennel cough, the other dogs in the group will not be allowed to interact with other dogs due to the risk of infection, even if they do not show symptoms.
Payment Terms:
-
Prices include 25% VAT and are subject to change.
-
Daycare fees are paid in advance on the 27th of each month. Other charges are added to the following month's bill.
-
A fee of 250 kr per 15 minutes will be charged if the dog is picked up after 18:00. This does not apply if it happens once and the daycare is notified.
-
In the event of non-payment, Pethico reserves the right to charge a reminder fee. If payment is delayed by more than 10 days, Pethico reserves the right to refuse to accept your dog. In cases of repeated delays in payment, Pethico also reserves the right to terminate this agreement immediately, resulting in the loss of your dog's place at Pethico, and Pethico retains the right to seek compensation for any resulting damages.
Insurance:
-
Pethico AB has liability insurance covering personal and property damage caused by staff.
-
The dog must be insured, and the insurance should cover veterinary costs and legal protection (legal protection is usually included in home insurance). You must be able to provide details of the insurance company. If your dog is not insured and we need to cover necessary costs in case of illness or injury, we will charge you the full amount.
-
Our potential obligation to compensate for damages, however, never includes indirect damages such as lost work time, mileage, or other costs beyond the actual veterinary cost.
Dog Interaction:
-
We allow dogs to play freely in groups after they have been accustomed to it. By signing the agreement, you agree that your dog may interact with other dogs. Please note! There is always a risk of injury when dogs are together.
-
If a dog injures another dog, the customer must seek compensation from the responsible dog's owner. If Pethico AB is found grossly negligent, they may cover the customer's insurance deductible.
-
If your dog injures another dog, it is your responsibility to compensate the owner of the injured dog, regardless of whether it is through your home/liability insurance.
-
If it cannot be determined which dog injured your dog, and the injury is due to our lack of supervision or care, we will consider the possibility of invoking our liability insurance or may cover your deductible.
Behavior and Handling:
-
To avoid injuries to staff, damage to property, and harm to other dogs, it is a requirement that your dog can be handled by our staff in order to attend our daycare. You must inform us of all your dog's characteristics via email no later than the day before starting. To minimize potential damage, you must provide a contact person who can quickly pick up your dog if it needs to be separated from the other dogs.
-
If it turns out that your dog, despite attempts, does not fit into the group, is unhappy at daycare, chews on things, is aggressive towards staff or other dogs, barks excessively, or seems depressed, Pethico reserves the right to terminate the agreement between the parties with immediate effect.
Feeding and Medication:
-
Feeding and medication are only administered according to specific agreements with Pethico AB Hunddagis.
-
Customers must bring their own food for the dog if the dog is to eat at daycare.

-
Unneutered males are accepted at the discretion of the operations manager.
-
Female dogs in heat are not accepted, and no price reduction is provided during this period.

-
Refunds are not provided for regular closures or absences due to illness or other reasons, except as specified.
-
Prices increase by 2% annually to accommodate rent and salary increases.
Photography and Social Media:
-
Pethico AB may photograph the dog and use the images on social media and for advertising, even after the daycare spot is terminated.

Unforeseen Closures:
-
The daycare reserves the right to close if necessary, for example, if there is an infectious disease among the dogs, all staff are sick, or other unforeseen circumstances occur.
Price Adjustments:
-
The daycare reserves the right to adjust the monthly fee and informs customers of any price increases at least 60 days before they take effect.
Interns:
-
The daycare has the right to use interns during breaks and other care under the supervision of regular staff.
Dog Owner's Responsibilities
Drop-off and Pick-up Times:
-
The dog owner must drop off the dog between 07:00-08:30 and pick up between 16:00-17:30, ensuring the dog is rested, healthy, and free of infectious diseases. For collection after 18:00, a fee of 250 kr per 15 minutes will be charged on the next invoice. This does not apply if it happens once and the daycare is notified.
-
Your dog must be well-exercised before being dropped off at daycare, and the dog must be on a leash both outside and in the reception area during drop-off and pick-up.
Sick Notification:
-
The dog owner must notify the daycare no later than 08:00 if the dog is sick.
Food:
-
The dog owner must bring their own food if the dog is to eat at daycare.
Payment:
-
The dog owner must pay the monthly fee in advance on an invoice sent via email. The invoice must be paid no later than the 27th of each month. Delayed payments are charged with statutory late payment interest, and one reminder is sent in case of non-payment. The dog can be refused entry until the fee has been paid in full. In case of failure to pay, the invoice is forwarded to debt collection companies for collection.
No Fee Deduction for Absences:
-
The dog owner does not receive a deduction from the monthly fee if the dog is kept at home due to private reasons when the daycare is open.
Summer and Holiday Fee Reduction:
-
A 50% deduction from the monthly fee is applied during the summer closure (2 weeks in July) and during the days between December 24 and January 2 every year.
Fee Reduction for Infectious Disease Closure:
-
The dog owner receives a deduction from the monthly fee if the daycare is forced to remain closed due to infectious diseases during the cleanup. The daycare's insurance covers the loss of income.
Personal Data Protection
-
To receive, manage, and fulfill your contract, Pethico AB will process your personal data. All of our data processing is carried out in accordance with current data protection legislation.
Force Majeure
-
Force Majeure, such as war, extensive labor conflicts, pandemic, blockades, fires, environmental disasters, serious outbreaks of disease, or other significant events beyond the control of the party, prevents the party from fulfilling its obligations and releases the party from them. This exemption applies on the condition that the business cannot be operated under these circumstances. The other party shall be immediately informed of circumstances that may invoke this provision.
Termination of Contract
-
Termination of this agreement must be made in writing with a notice period of two months. New daycare dogs have a one-month trial period during which either party may terminate this agreement at any time with immediate effect. In such a case, the customer has the right to a refund of the portion of the daycare fee corresponding to the period the dog will not be using its spot at the daycare. In some cases, the trial month may be extended if we believe we cannot make a proper assessment of the dog within the trial period. This will be communicated and discussed with the owner.
